A simple website content review routine.

Content becomes less useful gradually. A regular, focused review is easier than a large rewrite and helps prevent old claims, broken links and confusing pages from accumulating.

Review the pages people depend on

Start with the homepage, key service pages, contact information and any page used to make an important decision. These pages should not wait for an annual redesign to be checked.

Use a consistent set of questions

Check whether the page is still needed, factually correct, clear to a new visitor and connected to the next useful page. Record a simple action rather than trying to perfect everything immediately.

Keep a change log

A short record of what changed, why it changed and when it should be reviewed again makes handovers and future audits much easier.
